Rodeway Inn Monterey Near Fairgrounds

The ambiance is warm, and the rooms are reasonably quiet for a restful stay.

The room was big, bathroom was ok, location was good, very cheap. It matched our needs,since we just needed a place to sleep for one night, before going down to big sur. I wouldn't really stay there longer though.

No breakfast, just coffee. The girl at the reception was not nice -she looked kind of bothered when we got there, and she almost never spoke, despite a little problem with our reservation, solved in 5 min, for which she offered no explanation. Not a big thing, just a rude attitude.

It was clean and very nice rooms for the price.

the shower was pretty cramped, but the room had a fridge, microwave, and really warm blankets (perfect for chilly nights! ). the staff was friendly and checked in on us (which was nice! the location was convenient for getting around!

The fan is movement sensored so woudnt remain on all night. Causing us to wake up to continualy turn it on again and again. Continental breakfast was weak, unhealthy and cheap. Bagels would have been nice.

Our non-smoking room still smelled like cigarettes and the bathroom light when out and never came back on.

Save your time

While the location may seem appealing, the experience left much to be desired. Public areas felt neglected, and I encountered significant maintenance issues in my room. Noise from nearby traffic and a lack of proper staff response added to the frustration. Spare yourself the hassle. Plenty of better options exist nearby.

I especially liked the useful nessecities such as a coffee brewer, microwave and the refrigerator. It was such a relief to see it there

Motel staff was very friendly and accomadating. We requested early checkin. They didn't have a room ready at that time they got their staff to work on a room so we could check in early. Great customer service. Room was big and very clean. Room had Microwave, Refregerator and coffee maker. More than 100 channels on Tv was a plus. big parking and easy to find the location.

The room was so cozy-perfect for unwinding after a long day! I loved the clean sheets and warm atmosphere. And a fridge and microwave was a good surprise.

The hotel staff was rude, parking was impossible, and the room had an funky order, shower did not work well, bed was weak in the middle, the room also had no moving room around the bed. Very poor, never will stay again.

Helpful staff allowed us to check in early, which was very useful.

Although our friends had a coffee-maker in their room, we did not have one in ours. We would have thought this should be standard to all rooms.

The hotel front desk clerk and room cleaner all have cold face and unfriendly atitude.Can't believe how they work in service industry.
